For over 50 years, Gersfelder Metallwaren GmbH has stood for innovative manufacturing solutions, and today it is one of the leading manufacturers of assemblies and welded assemblies, bent wire and tubular parts as well as turned parts in Germany.
50 years ago
1970 – Founded by Irmgard Pfeifer
Approx. 35 employees on a production area of approximately 1,500 square meters
1988 – Son Mathias Pfeifer takes over the management
Approx. 50 employees
1991 – Pfeifer Präzision Fulda is taken over
1992 – Takeover of Forta Pumpenbau, Bad Salzungen

1995 – Relocation and consolidation of Pfeifer Präzision to Gersfeld
Approx. 90 employees on a production area of 1,850 sqm
1997 – Forta Pumpenbau merges with GMW
2003 – Forta pump construction sold
Ongoing expansion of the Gersfeld site (2005-2013)
2013 – Expansion of the production area to over 5,000 square meters
Approx. 210 employees on a production area of 5,000 square meters
